About Louise
Louise left school at 18 and went to work for her local weekly broadsheet newspaper in a small market town in the North of England. Covering everything from cat shows to coroner’s courts, she spent 11 years as journalist, sub-editor, features writer, agricultural correspondent and entertainments reviewer before decamping to the capital to work as a digital news producer.
After two years looking after four websites, she returned home and became rural affairs specialist for a paper in the Yorkshire Dales before leaving it all behind after 20 years when her son James came along two years ago.
