On wednesday 7th oct I was one fed up preggie mummy!remember saying to my mum that day that I never thought my baby was ever going to arrive!!after dinner, we decided to go for a walk in the local woods..was raining hard.. So this seemed a bit mad but hey ho off we went! I say walk , turned out to be more of a hike! When we got home I was bursting for a wee…, and to my great joy I lost my plug!we were so excited but didn’t tell the children otherwise would never got them in bed!I called my sister my mum and my best friend, who was my second birth partner…just to put them on red alert!we decided as I was not getting any pains, to just go to bed as normal and see what happens. Well…..my other half dan went to sleep but I just lay there squirming with excitement.I must have fallen asleep just when I was woken by my first pain at 12am. I went to the loo and lost the rest of my plug…then franticly woke up dan!we went downstairs and decided to call
sarah ( my 2nd birth partner) as the contractions were every 10 mins. And from then they got closer and stronger quite quickly!I called the mwf at 1am… She told me to take paracetamol and get some rest…um?i called again at 3am as contractions were 3 mins apart. We then woke the children and my mum came to collect them.I tried to have a bath at 5am but as in my previous births felt very uncomfortable. The mwf arrived at 5.30 I was so relived!!!but… She had no gas n air!! The pain was rather intence now and I couldn’t move about very much at this point.the mwf left at 6.30 to go and get gas n air….she was gone 1 hour and was the longest hour of my life!when the gas n air arrived was a great relief!I half layed/sat on my sofa for the rest of the labour, with dan behind in a head lock! I felt an amazing urge to push at about 8.30am, my waters then broke and after 3 pushes my beautiful baby boy was born….straight onto my chest.amazing…amazing….
The most wonderful feeling.he weighed in at 7lb5   And was just perfect. The only way I can describe the feeling….. Like Christmas day….
